ChatBeds developer platform
Build integrations that read and write a hotel's rooms, prices, bookings and bills on ChatBeds, the hotel PMS run from WhatsApp and a web dashboard.
ChatBeds runs a hotel's front desk, bookings, housekeeping and billing from WhatsApp and a web dashboard. The developer platform lets your software work with that data through one REST API, the Partner API (/partner/v1), and hear about changes through signed webhooks.
What you can build
- Booking sites and channels. Search live availability and prices, then make, change and cancel bookings.
- Channel managers and PMS connectors. Read room types, rate plans and rooms, and keep your copy of every booking in sync, whoever made it.
- Guest messaging tools. Look up stays by date, guest name or your own reference, and react when a booking changes.
- Payment and accounting tools. Read a guest's bill, add charges, record payments and create card payment links on the hotel's own Stripe account.
Two ways in
| An app (recommended) | A private key | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it's for | Software you offer to many hotels | One hotel working with you directly |
| How a hotel connects | Clicks Connect in its Apps directory, then Allow (OAuth 2.0) | An owner makes a key on Settings → Partner API and sends it to you |
| Credential | Access token cbat_... (1 hour) plus refresh token | API key cbk_... (no expiry until revoked) |
| Permissions | Only the scopes the hotel allowed | Everything at that property |
Both call the same 20 operations at the same base address, with the same idempotency, rate limits and webhooks. Each credential acts for one property.
How it fits together
- You sign up for a free developer account and get a Sandbox Hotel with test data and an API key.
- You build against the sandbox with that key.
- You register an app on the Developers page and get a client ID and secret.
- You connect the app to your own sandbox with OAuth to test the full flow.
- You submit the app for review. Once ChatBeds approves it, it's listed in every hotel's Apps directory.
- A hotel connects your app, and your server swaps the code for tokens and calls
/partner/v1for that property. - ChatBeds sends your webhook address a signed event whenever a booking at that property is made, changed or cancelled.
Free to build
Developer accounts and the Sandbox Hotel are free and never billed. You can connect your own apps to your own sandbox at any stage, before review.
